CASO^® FCC Flakes, is a dihydrate calcium chloride food grade of mineral origin. In the context of the European Directive 95/2/EC and its successive amendments relating to food additives permitted for use in foodstuffs and the European Directive 2008/84/EC amended defing specific purity criteria for these food additives, CASO^® FCC Flakes is characterised by the European Number E509 referring to calcium chloride

CASO^® FCC Flakes meets the specify purity criteria laid down in the annex of the Directive 2008/84/EC as amended, and it meets the following international requirements:

• FCC (Food Chemical Codex) 6^th edition,
• European Directive 2000/63/EC and,
• CODEX ALIMENTARIUS.

CASO^® FCC is produced in accordance with the legal authorization N° 111 - 25/10/2002, as established by the Health Authorities of ROSIGNANO MARITTIMO (LI). For the scope of its development, manufacturing and distribution, we have set up an H.A.C.C.P. (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) system as required by the European Directives 93/43/EEC and 96/3/EC concerning hygiene and foodstuffs.

CASO^® FCC is manufactured without addition of additives of organic origin like antioxidants, preservatives, stabilizers, emulsifiers and surfactants.

CASO^® FCC is specifically indicated for every particular application/use in the Food and Agro-food sector, where Calcium Chloride is used in human foodstuffs or where the working conditions must comply with the food regulations.

Thanks to its chemical and physical properties, CASO^® FCC is an ideal additive for improving or maintaining the physical and natural conditions of certain foodstuffs, and it also gives the correct level of mineral salts thanks to the addition of Ca²⁺ ions in particular situations of lack or need.
