Selection of a Chemical Distributor

Solvay’s Chemicals Sector has decided to do business with chemical distributors that meet various objective criteria, including a real commitment to the principles of 'Responsible Distribution' together with the ESAD II Assessments.

Supporting FECC

Solvay gives full support to the activities and initiatives of the  FECC (Fédération Européenne du Commerce Chimique - European Chemical Distributors Association). Solvay was amongst the first chemical manufacturers to join this Association as an Associated Member.

Responsible Care®

In the field of environmental care, Solvay’s strategy is, 'to continuously improve its health, safety and environmental performance worldwide'. For Solvay, Progress goes hand-in-hand with Responsibility.
In that spirit, Solvay has committed itself to the  Responsible Care^® Programme, which is the chemical industry’s voluntary commitment to constant improvements in performance with regards to health, safety and environmental protection.

Promoting ESAD

Solvay also welcomes and supports the efforts of chemical distributors for implementing the Responsible Care principles. Please note that Solvay requires its partnering distributors to use ESAD (European Single Assessment Document), which was developed under the auspices of FECC and CEFIC.
