Mission of the Solvay Group

Within the framework of the Solvay Group Mission, the Chemicals Sector is organised in 7 Strategic Business Units, each contributing to a strategy of :

• worldwide leadership and a global position in each activity through Innovation and Competiveness.
  
• rapid growth in a carefully selected range of focused activities, with increasing presence in specialities and advanced materials

The successful implementation of this strategy will be supported by an effective response to the following challenges :

• focus on growth in selected activities through innovation , acquisition projects and business deployment projects while providing competitive and reliable solution to our customers
  
• develop an attractive and stimulating work place for highly competent collaborators and gain  recognition from all stakeholders of the value of our chemical products,  activities and achievements
  
• in line with the profitability objectives of the group , use selectively  our financial resources with the aim of  improving  capital rotation and supporting the most profitable activities
  
• simplify our organisation and processes, and be able to react quickly and appropriately to change within the business environment
  
• operate in full compliance with our Responsible Care and Product Stewardship Policies and review regularly the sustainability of our processes
