Nearly 10 years after the internet hype, e-channels are today well integrated into the multi channel offering of Solvay Chemicals International. Today our e-service offerings are adapted for different business processes, whether on order-to-cash or on VMI/VMOI, and that for different partners, customer or logistics service providers in various market segments :
a) System to System integrations with our partners, preferably through Elemica, THE Chemicals Industry global B2B-Hub (www.elemica.com). b) Solvay4me as Extranet for deep and individual information exchange with customers as well as Logistics service providers, offering multiple services over the complete order-to-cash cycle, as c) Electronic Billing Services, in full compliance with the European Directive 2001/115/EC as well as the main national laws having transposed that directive, d) Development of further new Business models using the Internet as driver for new business opportunities. Recent example is the go-live of the new direct sales channel Esolion (www.esolion.com) which serves specific customer segments under well defined rules and attractive pricing.
