How to use the Solvay sites

The screen is divided in 5 different areas : the header the left entries the inner screen the banners (on the right handside of the sites) the footer
The header : This is where you will find the site name the functions buttons (help, sitemap, login, languages, …) the date of the day a hyperlinked « braidcrumb trail » allowing you to know where you are in the site structure and to surf to upper sections a jump to Solvay specific sites scrolling menu
The left entries : a search entry where you can either search on all the Solvay sites or only on the site you are actually on all the menu entries belonging to the site you are actually on and DHTML sub-menus
The inner screen This is where the more in depth information appears.
The banners The banners allow you to easily go to information or find tools that each site propose you. They are not systematically present on every page of a website
The footer : Where to find : The Solvay disclaimer the Solvay privacy policy the date of last update of the page you are on the email link to contact the site Webmaster

All Solvay sites are built in the same way.  They are optimized for Microsoft Internet Explorer and Netscape (both for version 5.0 or above) in 800x 600 resolution.Some advanced features, like DHTML menu, may only be available to users with more recent (version 5) browsers, although most of the site is designed to be version-4 browser compatible. If you would like to update your browser, you can download a new version by following the Microsoft and Netscape links below.

Plug ins

These sites make use of Macromedia's Shockwave Flash plug-in for animated graphics. If your browser does not have Shockwave Flash, you can download it by clicking on the Macromedia link below. Many documents can be downloaded from this site in Adobe Acrobat PDF format. To get the free Acrobat Reader software from Adobe, click on the Acrobat link below.
