BI-PROTEC^TM is used in poultry production to protect poultry against red mites.

During the day, chicken mites congregate in cracks around roosts and interior parts of poultry houses. At night, they feed on the birds’ blood as they roost or nest. Continued heavy infestations irritate and stress the chickens, resulting in emaciation and lowered egg production.

Control of chicken mites is directed to their hiding places in the poultry houses and to the chickens themselves.
