BI- PROTEC® - The mineral speciality to improve hygiene in poultry buildings.
Bi-Protec® aims to improve the overall hygiene of poultry buildings.
Bi-Protec® is a white powder made of sodium bicarbonate and synthetic amorphous silica. It is available in 20 kg bags.
Bi-Protec® is not dangerous for eggs, humans, hens or the environment according to Regulation 1999/45/CE.
Bi- Protec® improves the hygiene of poultry and improves the economical performances to:
- help recovering an optimal laying curb;
- improve the confort of people working in poultry.
Eggs with Bi-Protec on it are still edible.
What kind of breeding can be treated with Bi-Protec® ?
- both coops (battery) or free range breeding;
- in presence of animals or during turn-around;
- in organic farming (according to the agreement CEE n°2092/91) or conventional farming.
Application of Bi- Protec® :
In CAGE:
- For each treatment, 2 g per hen are required. That is to say, 20 kg (1 bag) for 10 000 hens.
- Mix one bag (20 kg) into 50 liters of water.
- Spray regularly (same speed as when you walk) in order to obtain a thin and regular layer after drying.
- First treatments have to be done, according to necessity, on a regular basis.
- After a few treatments, time between two applications gets longer.
- Bi-Protec® has a persistent effect. Time to re-apply might vary depending on the initial level of hygiene. Around 2 to 6 treatments per livestock.
In FREE RANGE:
With animals:
- Powder about 10 to 20 g per square meter (1/2 table spoon) on all horizontal surfaces (duckboards, corner of laying place...).
- Repeat regularly if needed each 10 to 15 days.
Turn around:
- You need 3 bags for a 1000m2 building.
- Mix a bag of 20 kg into 50 liters of water.
- Spray inside laying places and all places such as corners or duckboards.
- Spray regularly (same speed as when you walk) in order to obtain a thin and regular layer after drying.
