SOLVAir® Select 300 offers profitable and sustainable environmental solutions used for air emissions control and associated waste.
Our Solvay Chemicals, Inc. subsidiary in the USA has introduced a new product, SOLVAir® Select 300, for combatting atmospheric pollution, and in particular for treating sulphur dioxide (SO2) in gaseous effluent.
This development is in line with the Solvay group’s commitment towards Sustainable Development, as it supports applications aimed at mitigating environmental impact of air emissions and improves the efficiency of our Green River plant.
With this product, Solvay again demonstrates that innovative forces within the chemicals industry are the best placed to propose realistic solutions to certain particularly critical environmental challenges.
Production – using a process that can also improve the environmental effectiveness of the Green River plant – started in 2010. During an initial phase, the plant will be able to produce 125 000 tonnes a year of SOLVAir® Select 300, but this volume can easily be increased in response to growing market demand linked with the tightening of legislation on atmospheric pollution.
