The versatile portfolio includes aliphatic fluorinated intermediates of the CF2 & CF3 range, the pharma propellants Solkane^® 227 pharma and Solkane^® 134a pharma as well as inorganic raw materials like sodium bicarbonate and sodium carbonate.

High-purity fluorine specialties like Solkane^® 227 Pharma und Solkane^® 134a Pharma are ideal propellants for medical sprays for the treatment of lung and respiratory diseases. They are health compatible and optimally transport active substances. CF2 and CF3 specialties are another focus at the CPhI, substances which due to their special properties allow medication and agricultural pesticides to be dosed in lower concentrations. They improve the liposolubility of these substances and make it easier for the molecules to permeate cells.

Furthermore, Solvay offers a wide range of compounds with various qualities & grades, such as sodium hydrogen carbonate (bicarbonate), sodium carbonate anhydrous, hydrogen peroxide, peracetic acid and perestane^®, sodium percabonate and calcium carbonate. With an international leading position in the world markets, most of these products are manufactured under GMP conditions supported by CEP documentation. Their main applications include hemodialysis, effervescent tablets, disinfectants and antacids.
