Disinfection treatment is needed for disease control in a number of areas in the finfish and shellfish industries. Infections can also spread via fish farm equipment and surfaces and during fish processing. Solvay products such as hydrogen peroxide and peracetic acid can be used for disinfection therefore preventing infections.
