BaCO3 is used in glazes for ceramics (sanitary ceramic and tiles) and as an anti scumming agent in bricks, roofing tiles and clinker. It is also used as a raw material in magnetic ceramics for the production of barium- and strontiumferrites. Bariumfluoride is used in enamel and glazing frits production as a flux and opacifying agent.
